Refund & Cancellation Policy

Donations to Innovation and Science Promotion Foundation (ISPF) directly fund experiential STEM education for children in government schools. Because contributions are put to work on our programmes, donations are generally non-refundable. We do, however, want every transaction to be correct, and we will gladly help if something went wrong.

Donations are non-refundable

A donation is a voluntary, charitable contribution and is not a purchase of goods or services. Once a donation is successfully processed, it is treated as committed to our charitable work and is, as a rule, not refundable or cancellable.

Erroneous or duplicate transactions

We understand that genuine mistakes happen, for example a duplicate payment, an incorrect amount, or a technical error. If you believe a transaction was made in error, please contact us within 7 days of the transaction with your donation details (date, amount, transaction or payment reference, and the name and email used). We will review the request and, where we are satisfied that the payment was genuinely erroneous or duplicated, we will refund it to the original payment method.

Approved refunds are processed through our payment gateway and may take 5 to 10 business days to reflect in your account, depending on your bank or card issuer.

Recurring (monthly) donations

If you set up a recurring donation, you may cancel future instalments at any time by contacting us. Cancellation stops upcoming payments; amounts already donated are not refunded except in the case of an erroneous transaction as described above.

80G tax-exemption receipts

ISPF issues 80G receipts for eligible donations under the Income Tax Act, 1961. Please note that where an 80G receipt has already been issued for a donation, a refund may not be possible once the corresponding tax benefit has been claimed or the receipt has been used, in line with applicable tax rules. If a refund is approved, any associated 80G receipt will be treated as cancelled.
